"Lost Names"

The book "Lost Names" takes place in South Korea around the late 30s to the mid 40s. The Japanese have annexed Korea and they are just getting raw materials and work out of Korea. The Koreans are having hard ships because the Japanese are taking all the good (white) rice. Even though the main characters family is well known and well off they can't even buy the white rice, thats how scarce it is. The last chapter I read, the story was in winter, harsh winter. Thats about all the setting there is on the book so far. I will update soon.

This descriptions of settings are not what I would say examplerary for it is so breif, but all the information fits in accuratly with what I have for my understanding of the book. However, I do not believe that it is the 'white rice' that is the main rising conflict here, but the Japanese abusing Koreans.

heyy caleb~! =D
the situation in your book is kind of the opposite and kind of similar to mine. our characters are both going through hard times and they dont get much food to eat. the characters in my book, "When My Name was Keoko" dont even get rice! the people in my book arent rich and they arent one of the families that are pretty well off. they are one of the families that are in danger and they have to just have hope and trust in each other to live. their uncle is part of the resistance against the japanese so they are at risk. sun-hee's brother, tae-yul, joined the imperial army so that he would be able to save his uncle's life and provide more needs to his family. but they are pretty much in the same situation right now right?
haha anyways awesome job on the post! ;D
